Complete serial and lot number tracking... GBMS provides complete serial and lot number tracking for every stage in the inventory lifecycle. You can set up serial and lot tracking at the item level. Items that have been flagged to track a serial or lot number will require that every tracking number be recorded for each system transaction. Wide range of tracking options... Track the manufacturer’s item number as well as the internal serial and lot numbers for Purchase type items. You can set up tracking numbers as ‘captured’ or ‘generated.’ If an item is set up to capture a tracking number, then the user is prompted to enter the tracking number as part of the transaction that creates inventory in the warehouse (i.e., receiving or adjustment). If an item is set up to generate a tracking number, then the tracking number is automatically created by the system based on a user-maintained, pre-assigned numbering system. All of GBMS’ standard labels offer a serial or lot version that prints the tracking number as a bar code. |
